June's Day

Ward has stepped up  his hunting dramatically so that June was able to spend a typical day in the nest box. Her incubation was interrupted only by the following events:

-3am: Last food delivery of the night.

-5:30 am: Left nest for a 10 minute break on a nearby branch.

-10 am: Ward called home with a classic hoot and she responded.

- 8pm: Greeted first food delivery of the night with wild squeals

- 8pm to 11:30 pm: Three more food deliveries.

Things appear to be going very well after a few shaky days and June is sleeping quietly. Ward is no longer reluctant to approach the nest and June is doing very little whining. (11:30pm)
